Below are a list of frequently asked questions. Please review these topics before contacting our office.
Q: How to make appointments:
Please refer to the separate section on appointments. There is a detailed summary of how appointments are booked, and the different types of appointments.
Q: What if I cannot make my appointment?
Also contact the office ASAP if you will not be able to attend an appointment. If an appointment is canceled on the same day, or the day before, it is considered a "no-show". These are a major problem for the office, and you may not be able to rebook.
Q: Will there be toys in the office for my child?
In the office we have a small play area for children waiting for appointments. We also have videos which we play. Because of the spread of infection, however, we try to limit what toys are set out. You should consider bringing your own toys or books.
Q: Will I be seeing a medical student?
Dr. Menard is involved in teaching for the medical school. As such, he will often have medical student with him. Often they attend the appointment along with Dr Menard, and do not usually see families on their own. Dr Menard will always introduce the students to you and your child.
Q: The receptionist made my appointment with a resident. What does this mean?
These are already qualified physicians, getting extra training in Pediatrics. They may see you in the office themselves at times, and then review the case with Dr Menard. If you are going to see a Resident, you will be made aware at the time of booking your appointment.
If you are uncomfortable with students and residents, you can always ask to see Dr. Menard alone.
